We are living in a time when it is advantageous for those who are in power, and those who want them to remain in power, to keep us divided. A time when bad actors use disinformation as a power tool to ferment confusion. An age of misinformation.

False rumors, misleading memes, entertainment disguised as news reports, and outright lies all lend to concerted campaigns meant to deceive and confuse our perception of what is happening. And amid the confusion, we are fed a diet of conspiracy theories that direct our attention away from the sleight of hand politicians are using to control our lives.
